Great location if staying at a Waikoloa area resort. Beautiful sunset views any time of year. Good location for just bride & groom ceremonies or groups of 6 or less. No permit necessary. $50 travel fee.
Just north of the Kona Airport. Jeeps or lifted vehicles only as the road is unpaved and very rocky. Long stretch of beach. Both sandy and lava rock mixture. We recommend Mahai'ula beach on the far North end. $100 travel fee.
"End of the World" as many locals call it. 30 minutes from downtown Kona. Scenic lava cliff overlook. Waves crashing into lava wall can make for nice photos. $30 travel fee. Sunset only is recommended as the lava rock collects and gives off a lot of heat during the day.
Currently unavailable due to road closure. Valley of the Kings - 4 wheel drive vehicle (not all wheel) is needed to get down to the beach. Beautiful green forest that opens to a black sand beach. Can be windy. 8am start at the latest is best. Ask about our Waipio Adventure Package. $275
For the adventurous - Some say that this is the islands best beach. Soft sand, clear waters, and no crowds, but it takes some work to get to. Ask about the all inclusive Makalawena Package or add an additional $275 fee for travel and beach permit
Add $75 for permit and travel. Location has a flat grassy area as well as sandy and rocky shoreline areas with palm trees.
Approximately 100 minutes from Kailua-Kona. $175 fee for travel in addition to ROE permit fee.
