
RECOMMENDED BIG ISLAND HAWAII BEACH WEDDING LOCATIONS

Soft, sandy beach. Entrance is through Four Seasons Hualalai resorts. Sandy beach. About 30 minutes from downtwon Kailua-Kona. $50 ROE Permit Fee + $25 Travel Fee
For the adventurous - Some say that this is the islands best beach. Soft sand, clear waters, and no crowds, but it takes some work to get to. Ask about the all inclusive Makalawena Package or add an additional $275 fee for travel and beach permit
Great location if staying at a Waikoloa area resort. Beautiful sunset views any time of year. Good location for just bride & groom ceremonies or groups of 6 or less. No permit necessary. $50 travel fee.
Currently unavailable due to road closure. Valley of the Kings - 4 wheel drive vehicle (not all wheel) is needed to get down to the beach. Beautiful green forest that opens to a black sand beach. Can be windy. 8am start at the latest is best. Ask about our Waipio Adventure Package. $275
Hapuna Beach - Sandy beach, nice sunset view, but a very popular beach. If you're looking for any amount of seclusion, this is probably not the best beach for you. Can be crowded at times. Small parking fee required. Sunset is best. $75 Travel Fee in addition to $50 Beach Permit Fee
Approximately 100 minutes from Kailua-Kona. $150 fee for travel in addition to ROE permit fee.
"End of the World" as many locals call it. 30 minutes from downtown Kona. Scenic lava cliff overlook. Waves crashing into lava wall can make for nice photos. $30 travel fee. Sunset only is recommended as the lava rock collects and gives off a lot of heat during the day.
$100 Travel Fee 20 minute drive down unpaved road. Low clearance vehicles are NOT recommended along this road. This state park has a long shoreline, with both rocky, and sandy sections. For a more secluded feel, walk to the far north end of the beach.
Approximately 2 hours from downtown Kailua-Kona. Have your ceremony on a live volcano! Beautiful, lush rain forest setting, and other worldly, lava field, crater, and ocean views. Ceremonies are rain or shine. Couple is responsible for securing park permit. Travel fee is $275.
